Obsession of foodies with fried goat cheese is remarkable. I, being a foodie, can’t stop myself from ordering these mouthwatering crispy goat cheese poppers at any restaurant if this dish is included in the menu. After having ordered this dish multiple times at various restaurants, I thought of trying to make it in my own kitchen.
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 2/3 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 (11 oz.) log soft goat cheese
- 2 cups oil (grapeseed, canola or veg oil)
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. minced fresh chives
How to Make It
Consolidate flour and dark pepper in a little bowl. Whisk together egg, 1/4 teaspoon ocean salt, and 2 tablespoons water in a subsequent little bowl. Join panko and staying 1/2 teaspoon ocean salt in another little bowl.
Fold goat cheddar into 24 balls (around 1 tablespoon each). Roll every goat cheddar ball in flour blend, dunk in egg blend, and dig in panko blend. Stop 20 minutes or until firm.
Warmth oil to 350° in a profound pan over medium-high warmth. Fry goat cheddar, in clusters, 1 to 2 minutes or until brilliant and fresh on all sides. Evacuate with an opened spoon, and spot on paper towels to deplete.
Orchestrate goat cheddar poppers on a platter, shower with nectar, and sprinkle with chives and red pepper. Serve right away.
